Hello everyone,
This post will be a bit longer than usual as we really want to do a few things after an amazing ride yesterday.
First and foremost, all of the board members want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting us. It truly takes all year to plan this 1 event and at times it can be a difficult thing. But seeing all those bikes and all those people come out truly gets every one of us emotional. To know that there is at least 1 story for every bike there of someone that has been diagnosed or lost to cancer. To know that every person there has been touched in some way, it makes all of the planning, effort, and just time towards this ride worth it. So we want to thank every person that came out, cheered for us on the streets, donated money for helping and being a part of a marvelous thing.
Second, we need to show our support to all the sponsors that you see on the website and on the back of the ride shirts. Please know that without these businesses, the ride wouldn’t be half of what it is. If you could check out every sponsor and see how they might be able to help you and show them the love, that would be awesome!
Third, we have to thank D.O. Believe and The Red Devils! We give every dollar of what we earn to these 2 great organizations. They are some amazingly great organizations that do everything they can to help us as well as fight cancer. We were really excited to have them be a part of our ride this year, so make sure you click on their links on the homepage and show them some donation love!
Last, but not least… We need to thank all of our volunteers. For the number of motorcycles and people we had all day long, it takes a massive team of people to keep things organized and fun. Registration, pre-registration, parking, security, and general clean up is just a small number of people that we need on a yearly basis. To see that many people willing to wake up at a ridiculous time on Saturday morning to work their tails off in the hot sun is just something that amazes us every year.
So, from the bottoms of our hearts, we want to thank everyone that could be a part of the ride this year and make it what it is. Without your love and support, there would be no ride. Please like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter because next year…. We are going to do more and double everything!!!
PS: We will be posting up how much we raised on the ride as well as the number of bikes that showed up. Look for the videos and photos to follow in the next few weeks.
